MATCH LAKE

                       Warning anybody found moving fish from the main Lake to the Match Lake without the committee’s approval

                                                                      WILL be brought in front of the committee

                                                   

RULES FOR NEW MATCH LAKE

1. No boilies or nuts may be used

2. Surface baits – e.g. floating bread, dog biscuits - this means hook bait only, no loose feeding. Groundbait and loose feed to be used in moderation.

3. No fires

4. No alcohol or intoxicating substances other than prescription medicines

5. No predatory fish to be put into this lake or membership will be cancelled with no recourse

6. No groundbait or loose feed before the whistle on competitions

7. 2 rods only may be used if there are no more than two anglers on the Match Lake.

8. Carp friendly keep nets and landing nets only and an unhooking mat MUST be used.

9. Fish to the island only

10. Match lake closed on match dates only apart from those who are entering the competitions

11. Take your rubbish home

12. Pellets up to 10 mm only

13. Night fishing will be permitted on the match lake; however, no bivvies will be erected. Any person wishing to fish the Match Lake overnight may use a brolly but MUST telephone the Secretary to register a fishing expedition in case of any complaints from the residents who back onto the lake.

14. The match lake must be vacated by 8.00 p.m. or 20.00 hours on the evening prior to any competition

15. If the “Nightfisher” – swim number 17 is being fished by an angler on the main lake, this does not give that angler the right to put a rod out into the match lake. Members are permitted only to fish one swim at a time.

16. Do not move fish between the main lake and the Match Lake. However, if a carp or a tench is caught from the Match Lake weighing 7 lb or more then the angler who caught that fish is requested to put the fish into the main lake. They are required to telephone the Secretary and inform her that this has been done.

We would remind members that these rules were discussed at the Annual General Meeting and will be reviewed at next year’s Annual General Meeting as agreed when they were voted in by you, the members.
